and is permanently morphing...
(11 K'an (Corn) / 2 Mak - 12.19.8.14.4)

By using this alternate calendar system we are able
to become more conscious of the unconscious ways that the Gregorian Calendar
keeps us locked into an artificial system of scarcity and limitation.
A cycle that keeps us chasing faster and faster after the ever illusory
carrot of personal material wealth and keeps our
attention
away from the common and planetary good. By tuning in to the glyphs
and their energies, we tune out the paradigm of "
time
is money" and replace it with the paradigm of "time is art". This
is because, by using a measurement of time that is qualitative (describing
a feeling or an energy) rather than just quantative (dividing units of
time as if they were units of space) we take a literal
quantum
leap in our viewpoint on time from observer to participant. We take
back our power from the impersonal agents of mechanistic time like the
clock and the watch and return it to ourselves and our kin.
The more we implement the calendar by learning
the glyphs and by playing with and exploring their energies, by acting
out our galactic signatures and observing what the day glyph and tone is,
the more fully we are able to create a harmonious framework for a life
lived as art. Which, in turn, brings us together to form sustainable
communities to support us in that purpose. To that end "Planetary
Art Groups" are springing up globally - groups of people who are using
the
Mayan
calendar to facilitate creativity and healing in a way that allows us to
experience our greater selves: as autonomous individuals in a
networked
community.
