Russian-born composer of
ballets, including The Rite of Spring (1913), symphonies, operas, such
as The Rake's Progress (1951), and other works. He is considered one of
the most innovative composers of the 20th century.

Ballet The Rite of Spring (Le Sacre du Printemps) 6/13 at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris, with Serge Diaghilev's Ballet Russe, choreography by Waslaw Nijinsky, music by Igor Stravinsky. Outraged audiences stage violent demonstrations at Stravinsky's wild dissonances and tumultuous rhythms which begin a new epoch in music.

Stravinsky, Igor (Fedorovich),
1882-1971, Russian-American composer, widely considered the greatest and
most versatile composer of the 20th cent. In Russia he was a student of
RIMSKY-KORSAKOV. His first strikingly original compositions, The Firebird
(1910) and Petrouchka (1911), were written for DIAGHILEV's Ballets Russes.
In the ballet The Rite of Spring (1913), a masterpiece of modern music,
Stravinsky used radically irregular RHYTHMS and harsh dissonances. He later
employed an austere, neoclassical style, as in The Soldier's Tale (1918)
and Oedipus Rex (1927).

The actual date (near March 21 in the northern
hemisphere) when night and day are nearly the same length and Sun
crosses the celestial equator (i.e., Declination 0) moving northward. In
the southern hemisphere, the vernal equinox corresponds to the center of
the Sun crossing the Celestial Equator moving southward and occurs on the
date of the northern Autumnal Equinox. The vernal equinox marks the first
day of the Season of Spring. The Right Ascension at the vernal equinox
originally was in the constellation Aries and the point of crossing was
known as the First Point in Aries (now actually in Pisces because of Precession
).

the s per ma system, lost their connection with the governing overpower
of Oden which guided the human family through Aser , via the breeding and
information system.
Just as the brain must be fully connnected to a
healthy body to assure it the vitality of life, so Vaner required the instruction
of Aser in order to function at their highest potential and as intended

The party is the best place
I've been to in NYC. You must check it out. Be patient if it takes a while
for their generator to get running. It is on the northern tip of Manhattan,
on the east corner where the GW Bridge and he Triborough merge. Once you're
on 181st and Amsterdam it is a 5 minute walk. Don't get confused with these
simple directions. Follow them literally. Take
the subway 1 or 9 to 181st.
& St. Nichols. Walk east. Go to the southeast corner of 181st and Amsterdam.
Stand there. Look east. See the little paved pedestrian paved path that
runs next to the road on the south side, parallel to the highway that the
cars are on? Walk east on it; after about 100 yards it starts dipping south,
The little road gently slopes down into the park, down some stairs, goes
under an arch, splits in two (take the right path) and down more stairs
and continues down down down until you hear music. It's creepy getting
there but there are a lot of good people around %-)> (that's a stoned Israeli

Roerich had achieved his most lasting notoriety in 1913, when he designed
sets and costumes for the premier in Paris of Igor Stravinsky's controversial
ballet _The Rite Of Spring_, which had featured dancer
Vaslav Nijinsky. By 1933 however, Roerich's artistic contributions
were largely behind him, and he had given himself over to consuming interests
in Russian politics and mystical experience. In pursuit of the latter,
he had traveled extensively across Asia, making lengthy visits to China,
Mongolia, Tibet,
Sikkim, Kashmir, and Turkistan.
